The Albert Clock and Fountain on Barnstaple Square
In response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Barnstaple Town Council has taken the decision to postpone The Mayor's Charity Concert and The Civic Service whilst we await more guidance from Central Government
A trio of woollen wonders joined the traditional opening of Barnstaple Fair on Wednesday (September 18).
We recently worked with Amanda McCormack from North Devon Moving Image CIC, who has been tasked with creating social history films about people in Barnstaple. It is a project set up by The Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon who will be showing the films in their new social history gallery when they re-open next month. This film is all about our Beadle George and his love of Barnstaple Fair. We hope you will agree that it captures George's passion for Barnstaple Fair beautifully and shows why the Barnstaple Fair is such a special and important part of our towns history.
The first week of June celebrates national volunteer week, a time to show your appreciation as an organisation for the extremely valuable time given by volunteers.
Barnstaple Town Council is pleased to support this initiative visit refill.org.uk for more info and Download the App to find water on the go!
